precarious

Precarious is an intimate one to one performance identifying roles of the female identity. The fertile,

mother, daughter and lover.

The female anatomy is deconstructed through the accumulation and transformation of domestic and dietary

materials using milk straw, female stockings, baby oil and a baby pregnancy suit. The interaction

between performer and participant allows for new associations to everyday actions in the role of being a

woman. The work moves between the feminine, the fertile, the mother, the daughter and the animal. The

performances dissects the human interactions that allow us to function as individuals and as a human

being, in particular the transitions between sensual encounters and the fragility of the body.

“Solitude is not only an absence of energy or action, as some believe, but is rather a boon of wild provisions transmitted to us from the soul.”
