MEASURE was supported by the Athena Award and presented by New Moves International (founder of New Territories – International Festival of Live Art). Mentored by London-based artist Rajni Shah.
The work was an installed, four-hour cyclic performance that pushed the body into a state of exhaustion and interrogated the ideas of ritual, belonging and the naked female body. Moving through the grotesque and the beautiful, the audience watch as the artist performs an extended ritual. Through repetition and stillness, a dialogue between object and body maps a living cultural score.
Measure breaks open the anatomy of the everyday, tracing an emotional and physical presence that highlights our ephemerality.
